Abstract

 

MANAGEMENT OF CULTURAL DIVERSITY IN AN ORGANISATION. SELECTED ASPECTS IN THE CONTEXT OF DISPOSITIONAL GROUPS

Modern organisations function in a dynamically changing and globalised world. While fulfilling their functions, they have to be prepared for changes and open to new solutions and challenges. Multiculturalism is becoming one of such challenges. It is variously defined, with different practical connotations of the adoption of a specific defi nition and implementation of specific activities reflecting it within an organisation. Management of cultural diversity is also significant in the public sphere, particularly in the case of security institutions. Thus, the aim of the paper is to present the concepts of management of cultural diversity in organisations, as well as an attempt to show their implications for dispositional groups and uniformed professions.
